How to Manually Install (Upgrade) Android OS 2.2 on Motorola Droid. The Motorola Droid users can now upgrade and install android 2.2 OS manually.
Here are the simple steps to install:
- Download the update file and save as update.zip
- Transfer that file to your SD cards (root location).
- Switch off your phone.
- Now boot your Motorola Droid into recovery mode by holding the X and power buttons together.
- When a triangle with an exclamation mark appears, release your hand.
- Now press the volume up and camera buttons together.
- Now choose and apply update.zip using the D-pad.
- Reboot your Motorola Droid to install android 2.2 on it.
- Now you have installed android 2.2 OS on your Motorola Droid.
