Steps to Install or upgrade iOS 4 Manually to Your iPod Touch. The iOS 4 is the new OS released for Apple iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch gadgets.

Here are the simple steps to install iOS 4 to iPod touch:

• Download latest version of  iTunes.
• Connect your iPod Touch to the computer.
• Choose your iPod Touch from the devices list in the left.
• Hold the Shift key (Windows OS) or Option key (Mac OS)
• Click on Restore.
• Browse to the iOS 4 .ipsw file.
• Select iOS 4 .ipsw to upgrade iPod Touch to iOS 4.
• Wait till iTunes update iPod Touch to iOS 4.
• Now your iPod touch has upgraded  to iOS 4.
